how young do you start lessons? i have a 3 year old.

Hi Meg,
Yes, we recommend a “mommy and me” class for 3-5yo children. This lesson can be an hour or half hour, it allows the child and parent to participate during the lesson on the ground and in the saddle. The two will both get time with the horse/pony and allows both to gently move forward with their horsemanship skills. The hour “mommy and me” class is $55 and the half hr is $35.
For others, generally 6yo is when we start allowing children in the group settings and the weekly education process.
Hi! My name is Katrina and I grew up riding, training and giving lessons until I was 16 when my horse died. Ever since I have not had many opportunities to interact with or even ride a horse! I have been dying to get involved with the horse world again! I am writing because I was wondering if you might have any odd jobs that I could trade for an opportunity to get some lessons and to get back into the swing of things and so that I might be able to have my own horse again one day. Thank you for writing and asking about a trade opportunity. Unfortunately, due to insurance/employment and lawsuit issues it is difficult to offer a trade agreement. You are welcome to come by to visit. I also offer a personal price option to pay for the lessons. You could privately email me with a price you could afford and I’ll be happy to let you know what we can do for you.

Yes, you and your grandchild could make your own semi-private lesson. The other option would be to join into a group lesson. You’re both welcome to come watch current lessons in progress to see the facility, the teaching style, and environment.

Thanks for asking about a weight restriction. Our horses can handle around 300lbs for riding. Please let us know if you have any further questions or would like to come out for a visit!
I am interested in getting my nine year old daughter signed up for horse riding lessons and I also was wondering if you have anything available for a group. I was looking for somewhere unique for my daughter for her birthday and i didn’t know if you ever did anything like that.

Students are welcome to start any time and you choose the class setting you would like. Stop by and watch a current lesson in progress, you can also ask any questions then! Some students do like to have their birthday parties here….and we can make this happen some times throughout the yr. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Bday parties start at $200 for 1hr and 15mins of ride time, this is recommended for approx 10 riders.
